Runtime tools

Shared runtimes, build workflows and control adaptations for multiple games. Compatibility is recorded per game.

CPS-2 RecompArcademacOSWindowsLinuxNative CPS arcade runtime with a shared launcher and per-game adaptations.

Translates supported CPS arcade programs into C++ ahead of time and manages them in one launcher. Fighting games also offer training, rollback online play and display options, with features varying by game.

Preparation
Supply the arcade game files named in the compatibility list, including the key file for CPS-2 games. The launcher checks the files against supported revisions; no game data is included.
Scope and limits
Only individually adapted games and revisions are covered. Open issues include player reports of blank menus and a game failing to start. Check the affected versions; a listed game is not a guarantee of fault-free play.

NX2AppleSwitchiOSiPadOSmacOSA graphical builder on nxnative: use a Mac to build and manage Switch game apps.

NX2Apple adds a Mac interface over nxnative, joining extraction, code rewriting, shader processing, packaging and signing into one workflow with a library for built games. Its README offers Mac and iPhone / iPad targets. It is a separate fork; upstream compatibility reports do not establish testing on this fork.

Preparation
Use an Apple silicon Mac, legally owned game data and keys, and the required full Xcode and SDKs. The launcher's minimum macOS version differs from its build dependencies. Installing on a phone also needs device pairing and signing. The Mac can be both a build host and a play target; iPhone / iPad are separate runtime targets.
Scope and limits
The published release is 0.7.5; the 1.0.0 version number on the default branch does not mean that version has been released. The README requires at least 0.7.4; versions 0.7.3 and earlier can no longer obtain the engine and build. Only some games have been verified on this fork; other reports retain their upstream attribution. Open reports include a Breath of the Wild build filling the disk and missing build-progress displays. Neither was reproduced by PortGames.

nxnativeSwitchiOSiPadOSNative Switch execution and build engine with per-game graphics and system profiles.

Runs adapted Switch game code on Apple chips and rebuilds the graphics interface with Metal. Its scripts package apps for iPhone, iPad or Mac; this is a runtime and build tool rather than a single game.

Preparation
Supply legally owned game files and keys, and prepare a Mac with full Xcode and the required build tools. The Mac build host and the device used to play have separate requirements.
Scope and limits
Compatibility is recorded per game. The README lists A17 Pro / M1 or newer chips and iOS / iPadOS 26 or later for mobile play. Packaging an unadapted game does not mean that it will start.

TouchableSwitchiOSiPadOSGame-specific iPhone and iPad adaptations focused on touch controls and input.

Packages individually adapted Switch games as native iPhone and iPad apps, focusing on touch controls, virtual buttons, controllers and haptics. Adaptations are maintained for specific games and revisions.

Preparation
Supply your game data and use full Xcode on an Apple silicon Mac to build and sign the app. This Mac build requirement does not establish Mac gameplay support for every game.
Scope and limits
Builds check the game's modules and revision. The compatibility notes record skipped Silksong cutscenes and ongoing Rhythm Heaven work. Neither has a verified full playthrough; audio, fonts and multiplayer have recorded limits.
