Privacy & advertising

Supabase Auth handles email and Google sign-in. We use your account ID, email and basic sign-in information to maintain sessions, connect submissions and provide review feedback. The authentication service handles passwords; we do not separately store plaintext passwords. Submitted names, public URLs and prepared drafts are used for review. Unpublished submissions are visible only to their author and editors; approved project information becomes public. Google sign-in is for identity and does not request access to Gmail messages.

Essential session cookies maintain sign-in, and theme preferences are stored locally in your browser. You can sign out or manage this data through your browser. Hosting and database services process request, device and security logs needed to provide the service. Advertising and traffic analytics scripts are not currently loaded.

We plan to use Google AdSense to support the site; it is not currently enabled. When enabled, Google and other third-party advertising vendors may use cookies based on visits to this and other websites to serve, measure and personalize ads. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on browsing activity. We will disclose the vendors used when ads are enabled. You can manage personalized advertising through Google's ad settings below.

When ads are enabled, we will provide the notices and consent controls applicable to your region. Before serving personalized ads to visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, we will use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB TCF. Advertising storage and processing that require consent will follow your choices, with a way to manage them again. There are currently no advertising cookies or advertising consent prompts.

Project sites, communities and repositories have their own privacy notices. The planned AI reader will organize public project information. Before a model service is connected, we will name the provider and describe its processing here. Account credentials and private email are not part of project research.

To request access to, correction of or deletion of personal data associated with an account or submission, contact the site's published email address. The contact email is available in the footer. We will update this notice when advertising, model services or analytics are introduced.
